I was reproved in private...or so I thought, but it seemed everyone knew something was happening. Then starts all the rumours and outright lies,
ie: one sister saw me taking drugs. I was sleeping with anything with breasts and a pulse when infact I was a virgin and to this day have never even tried drugs.
In my opinion, the Elders who knew the details of your daughters abuser but failed to warn are as guilty as he is.
i was having an affair with a pioneer at the time and a girl who was disfellowshipped was in the loo at the hall (she actually had not done aything scriptually wrong (but the elders thought she had ) i tried to smile at her as i felt i was not in a position to judge anyone as guilt was destroying me but she just looked down at the floor , 14 years later we are good friends and both "free".
when you were "in" and ignored disfellowshipped did you ever think "im not in a position to judge anyone " ?.
There was one kid about a year older than me..about 16 or so who I think was marked and concidered bad asscociation but not DF'ed. He was my best friend and I could not bring myself not to be his friend. I think I was one of a handful that stuck by him.
Funny thing was, when I got the boot he shunned me like a son of a bitch!

so if i have it right, in the dominican republic, right next door to haiti they have huge gatherings that would obviously eat up vast resources, both financially and food stuffs etc.
instead of cancelling and diverting this to haiti they ask for more money for the "world wide" work.
and emphasis every little thing as wonderful on them.

They DF'ed my grandfather because he was a paronoid schizophrenic and would cast out demons in the name of Jehovah. After he died he was posthumously reinstated.
As an aside, what if hypothetically, your witness spouce died and you remarried another witness....wouldn't that create a bit uncomfortability after the ressurection if you all made it through? What happens then? do you remain married to them both or do you flip a coin and the loser gets a basket ball named wilson?

after watching a recent documentry on "the final solution" i saw adolf hitler in some huge venue with thousands present public speaking and the crowd were mesmerised and full of praise for him judging by the response he got from them and the applause , i thought back to assemblies when people gave a similar reaction when in affect they were being told millions had to die to make the world a better place for them to live in and nobody seemed bothered by this (except me) and i even thought back then ,that something was not quite right , there was even a mention of a thousand year reign by the third reich , i thought that sounded familiar !
did anyone else think this or do i think weird things ?.
thanks to those damn assemblies I have not been able to eat a donut in over 30years! I always seemed to get stuck on donut making duty...I must have eaten a bazillion of the burnt, drippy, misshaped, left over or otherwise unsellable ones
